Educational Challenges
Having graduated with an honors degree in Computer Information Systems and serving as a coordinator of technology in a large public school system in Virginia for five years (1990 - 1996), I saw first hand the many challenges that must be overcome before technology can directly benefit students on the first hand, and the rest of the world community in the the greater perspective. So I became a change agent and encouraged others to integrate technology into the classroom. In the beginning, I personally established school networks and sought to provide Internet resources and free educational software to every student. In the end, I realized that I could not accomplish that goal on a one-to-one basis but I felt I could by a more universal approach.
After lengthy research efforts, I accomplished part of that goal by creating and maintaining the award-winning website: "Bob Bowman's Guide to Free Educational Technology" <http://www.user.shentel.net/rbowman/"> - featured in the March 1998 issue of National Education Association Today New & Noteworthysection and listed as a popular link by more than 40 websites. This is an ongoing volunteer effort since 1997.
With two new projects, The Timely FreeSource-Locator (tm) Newsletter, and the FreeSource-Locator (tm) Guides, I feel that I am making a greater contribution for global promotion of technology education than ever before.
Acting as editors-at-large to provide educators, parents, and business men and women with with instant newsletters, I and my staff are constantly trying to improve ways that the Internet can be
used to further life-long education. We will expand our services to people in all walks of life so that everyone, not just the educational community, can benefit from worthwhile Internet resources and truly useful technology.
I commend my associate, Charles Ross, who invited me to develop my new projects in combination with his Micro-tutor.com site. He has supported me every step of the way in reaching out to those who need our combined support.

Mission Statement - Priceless Solutions:
The mission of this site is simple: To
put free
technological tools and free global resources directly
in the hands of those who need them.
We cannot have the highest expectations
for our students and yet minimize their access to the requisite tools to build upon that
potential. Online access can accelerate and selectively enhance the learning process.
The members of the entire education community
- and all life-long learners (K-12, special ed, ESL,
homeschooled, gifted and talented, and college students as well as teachers,
parents, and support personnel) are those to be served by this mission.
The methodology of this site is to provide
pre-screened, time-saving links to downloadable free educational software,
tutorials, and other free resources by using the latest technology
to transfer those items from archives throughout the world directly to the
user's computer.
Giving students access to these absolutely
essential tools - or better yet, giving them their own personal
copies of word-processors, desktop drawing programs, spreadsheet software, and
database programs, along with scores of other programs and utilities, is a prerequisite to
meeting today's technological expectations in school, college, and business endeavors.
